Welcome to Icy Bay Lodge!

2023 season

Tucked away remotely on the East side of Icy Bay but built with all the comforts of home!

The lodge is situated on the shores of East Icy Bay and has five heated cabins, well-suited to provide a comfortable refuge with a beautiful view after a day of chasing & catching fish. Each cabin has its’ own private bathroom, shower with comfy beds and plenty of space for gear making yourself at home for your week. The main lodge is a great place for gathering and having cocktails, meals or just lounging after a long day of fishing.

Weather in SE Alaska: weather can vary greatly throughout the season. In June and July you can typically expect high temps in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. August through end of Sept high temps range from 40’s to 50’s with lows in the 30’s and 40’s. In Sept it is not uncommon to have frost in the mornings.

For nature lovers, there is a spotting scope where folks look for wildlife and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding mountains. There is a great fire pit area for anyone who enjoys the crackle and pop of freshly burning wood.

Meals are cooked on location by our professional chef who will serve American favorites as well as freshly caught seafood that has never been frozen. Each morning a freshly brewed pot of coffee will be ready in the dining area with breakfast following shortly thereafter. During breakfast, anglers will be briefed by our guides regarding the weather and any other variables to determine what will be the day’s plans as to where we will fish. Lunches will be provided along with drinks and snacks. During the Fall it’s not uncommon to have fresh salmon over a campfire!

Our trips have you arriving on Sunday and departing the following Saturday.

While Icy Bay Lodge should certainly be considered a fishing destination, there are a multitude opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography, hiking, and kayaking.

There is no cell service while at Icy Bay Lodge but you can receive and send texts with an iPhone. Camp wide satelitte WiFi is available, (no streaming!) at the lodge but guests should expect to be removed from any cell phone access while out fishing. A VOIP phone is available in case of emergencies.
