Icy Bay Lodge specializes in fly fishing for Silver Salmon on small, remote streams, saltwater flats, and backwater marshes. We also catch Pink Salmon, Dolly Varden, and the occasional Cutthroat and Steelhead Trout in these waters. Icy Bay Lodge has EXCLUSIVE fishing access to the waters in Icy Bay, and it's rare to have another group of anglers within 50 miles.
There are occasions where we use boats to transport guests from one location to another, but all of our fishing is done while wading. We focus most of our efforts on three unique river systems in our area that produce some of the hottest, most aggressive Silvers you will ever have the opportunity to catch. ALL of our fishing locations are within a mile of the salt, and we can fish right in front of the lodge everyday for chrome bright fish. The majority of our fish are caught on our special streamers, but we have also perfected the technique of catching Coho on dry flies.

DownloadDuring the Summer months we focus on Halibut and feeder King Salmon, but we also catch Ling Cod, and Rock fish; all within 25 miles of the lodge. We rarely fish in water deeper than 70 feet. Our remote location allows us to get to our best areas for Halibut in less than an hour. We provide all gear necessary to go deep-sea fishing.
Our staff will clean, vacuum seal, and freeze up to 50 lbs of fish per person each week. We package your fish in wet lock boxes for safe transportation back home.
Icy Bay Lodge is offering 3, 5 and 7 day trips with professional guides and birding professionals. At the end of each day of bird watching you will be able to relax in our comfortable main lodge with the other guests while our world class chef prepares a first class meal.
